SPEAKER: Rachel Loewen Walker
TOPIC: Leading with Courage
Join us and listen to Rachel Loewen Walker (PhD), the Ariel F Sallows Chair in Human Rights with the College of Law and the Director of the Social Innovation Lab on Gender and Sexuality. Prior to this she was the Executive Director of OUTSaskatoon for seven years, where she worked to build the organization’s presence and impact in Saskatoon and across the province.
Rachel’s community work, research, and teaching rely on deep commitments to equity and inclusion, but more than anything, she relies on an overarching propensity toward bold and courageous leadership. Rachel will share some of the key “tipping points” where a leap into the unknown represented the greatest opportunity of all and how meaningful work in relation to equity and diversity requires us to be uncomfortable, to stretch ourselves, and above all else, to be brave.
Another exceptional speaker you will not want to miss!!
